The town of Daye is in close proximity to the Shantawene village which is in the midst of natural forest and indigenous trees thought to be over 200 years old. These provide natural shades to an increasingly number of non-heirloom coffee trees that had been designed and nursed in a scientific manner. This ensures good production and consistent cup profiles. This particular lot is an experimental honey processed lot aiming to stretch the already diverse profiles Ethiopian coffees can offer.
